THE NAME 300MICRONS
The company name of the KIT spin off 300MICRONS stands for 300 micrometers. This is the maximum distance between two capillaries in typical animal tissue. If two capillaries are further apart than 300 micrometers, the tissue in between no longer gets sufficient supply with oxygen, among other things. The microcavities on the analysis chips from 300MICRONS are therefore just as deep.
