"The Dream of a World Without Language Barriers. Realized." This is the slogan used by the spin-off company kites GmbH to promote its product portfolio for real-time machine language translation. Founded in 2015 by KIT computer scientists, the company was acquired by the software company Zoom Video Communications in 2021. In the future, kites researchers will support Zoom's engineering team in its development. The goal of the cooperation is to provide solutions of multilingual translation capabilities and to integrate them into Zoom meetings for barrier-free communication.
